Interested in a Try-Dive

Try Dive Co-Ordinator: Kevin Wright

KevinAs Try Dive Coordinator and Training Officer for Marlin SAC,  Kevin Wright will usually be your first point of contact. He will take your details, and arrange with one of our instructors to supervise your dive. He will also let you know what you will need to bring along with you on the night. Kevin’s interest in outdoor adventure led him in to diving in 2007. Since then he has dived most weekends, either for his own training or just for recreation, and is also present at the Stoney Cove night dives. Kev owns an inflatable which he uses for diving (He insists it is not a submarine and didn’t sink but the jury is out) and often visits the coast, diving or canoeing. Kev sees his role as Training Officer  to encourage and facilitate the development of skills of trainee and experienced divers in the club.

Chairman: Cathy Hems

Cathy

Cathy Hems our current chairman started diving with BSAC in 1997. She is a Qualified Sports Diver, training to be a Dive Leader and Diver Cox (Boat handling). Cathy enjoys the BSAC branch way of diving, not only gaining qualifications which are recognised the world over, but also having the social and friendly atmosphere of a branch with branch members continuing to support each other in their diving no matter what their level of qualification.
