Try Dive

If you are thinking about starting scuba diving for the first time then a Try-Dive can help you save time and money by finding out in advance if you like diving.
If you would like a more comprehensive introduction to the world of scuba diving then have a look at our special package that includes extra sessions here: Special Try Dive Offer

What happens on a Try Dive
A typical Try Dive session starts with tuition on the diving techniques and equipment that you will be using, one of our BSAC-qualified instructors will talk you through each item of kit, how it works and it’s purpose underwater. They will assemble all the kit and show you how everything fits together into a complete package, you don’t need any prior knowledge of scuba as everything will be arranged and safely assembled for you.

Once we have changed into swimming gear then we will move to the pool, climb into the water and then introduce the kit. In stages you will then slowly start to breathe underwater, first while standing close to the side and moving on to kneeling. Once you are happy the instructor will guide you around the pool slowly progressing to a maximum depth of 2m.

The aim of the try dive is for you to experience scuba diving in a safe and fun environment.

When
All try dives take place along with regular club training on Thursday nights from 8pm to 10pm.

Cost
The try dive costs £15.
This included approximately 45 minutes introduction to the equipment and 45 minutes in the pool, all costs go to maintain club equipment and cover running costs. All of our instructors are voluntary and offer to teach just because they enjoy diving.
